Our Story

From Discovery to Development:
The PMET Story

PMET is building North America’s largest hard-rock lithium project in Quebec, with the goal to secure critical minerals for the clean energy future.

PMET RESOURCES (formerly Patriot Battery Metals) is a leading hard-rock lithium exploration company advancing its 100%-owned Shaakichiuwaanaan Property in Quebec’s Eeyou Istchee James Bay region. The Property, originally known as Corvette, home to the largest lithium pegmatite mineral resource in the Americas and is one of the top 10 largest globally, is strategically positioned to supply North American and European markets. The Property also hosts the largest pollucite-hosted caesium pegmatite mineral resource in the world.

In 2023, the Company was awarded the Discovery of the Year by the QMEA for the CV5 Pegmatite as well as named Best Emerging Company at the Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum, Australia. In 2024, Volkswagen invested to become PMET‘s first major off-take partner. The Shaakichiuwaanaan Project is widely acknowledged as a Tier-1 world-class asset and potential long-term North American supply anchor.

The site also includes important strategic resources of other critical metals such as tantalum and gallium.

With our new brand identity, PMET embodies “Collaborative Energy,” a collaboration with the communities, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to powering a sustainable future by delivering reliable, traceable critical minerals.
